Dryland Tourism A Countrystyle Community Tourism Network Villages as Businesses initiative

Countrystyle enables Caribbean communities to welcome local tourism, with direct benefits from accommodation, including homestays and study tours, and indirect benefits from new skills and enterprises.

Villages as Businesses provides communities with tour and vacation design guidance, marketing and accredited training so they can manage themselves as destinations

Dryland Tourism adds an important new support for both community and traditional tourism in the era of COVID-19 restrictions and beyond:

  • By offering affordable tours and vacations for local citizens, hotels and attractions can increase their immediate and long-term business;
  • By having the overall resort experience, residents of village destinations will become marketing ambassadors for the country to local and overseas visitors, receiving a 10% commission as an incentive.
