Born on 2 December 1986 in St. Andrew, Jamaica, she holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with First Class Honours in Tourism Management from the University of The West Indies, as well as an international certification in massage therapy from New Skills Academy, USA, amongst other accredited credentials. Ruschiene’s love and admiration for the niche of massage therapy inspired her to pursue her passion as a profession since 2017, and is currently practicing and serving in the tourist area of Treasure Beach, St. Elizabeth (Jamaica), as well as Mandeville, Manchester (Jamaica), and St. Andrew (Jamaica). Prior, she stepped into the world of entertainment in 2013 with an aim to accomplish a larger than life goal of contributing to the success and development of the theatre and film industry. Outside of her career endeavours, she has aligned herself with the Rotary Club of St. Andrew (Jamaica). This club affiliation provides an avenue for Ruschiene to exercise her enamored advocacy of philanthropy, community service and charity to humanity. This, she believes, rewards her with a sense of responsibility, commitment, service, and other notable intrinsic leadership qualities. Other key affiliations include membership with the Jamaica Film & Television Association (JAFTA), Women in Film & TV International (Jamaica Chapter), as well as an entrepreneurial all-women group in Mandeville (Jamaica), ‘What’s Next? Go Gold’ (WNGB).
As mentioned, Ruschiene embarked on her massage therapy path since 2017. The name of her business, ‘Treasure The Mind’, came to being the following year. It all started when living in Treasure Beach, St. Elizabeth for a period of time which catalyzed her deep, personal healing and spiritual reconciliation. In the words of Ruschiene, “We all face challenges and battles within ourselves on varying degrees, and I am not exempt, and so I came to my own actualization and realization of the dichotomy of the mind – its frailty and strength.” Hence the business name, ‘Treasure The Mind’, to commemorate her memories of living in Treasure Beach as well as a reminder to herself of being mind vigilant. Ruschiene has been engaging her brand through various means of exposure such as exhibiting at the 2018 Ladies Expo held in Kingston (Jamaica), at the 2019 Made In Manchester Expo and the 2019 Made In Manchester Women’s Summit, both held in Mandeville (Jamaica), as well as networking at corporate or entrepreneurial events. Also, she received a spotlight feature in the April 27th 2019 publication of the national papers, The Jamaica Gleaner, titled “Woman Power – Ruschiene Deidrick Helps People Find Spiritual Awakening”. In this, she highlights her journey of her own inner healing and aspects of her childhood that are lesson-filled, as well as notable achievements. This incredibly rewarding line of work affords her the opportunity to touch and connect with persons from all over the world, having met clients from Japan, United States, England, Australia, Poland, Canada, Germany, India, just to name a few. The Founder and President of Countrystyle Community Tourism Network Villages As Businesses had granted Ruschiene complementary membership/partnership to said organization since March 2019. With her brand, Treasure The Mind, she meditates upon its success in impacting the lives of her fellow Jamaicans in a meaningful and holistic way. She envisions that her contribution to the health and well-being of her fellow man will be recognized and felt, whether through touch, counsel, or job creation.
Ruschiene Deidrick professional acting career commenced in the year 2013 and has had the luxury of showcasing her broad range of acting skills in renowned short-films and theatre plays. She served as a lead in the award-winning short-film “Learning to Swim” and contributed in another award-winning short-film “Heart Shaped Box.” As a theatre artist, Ruschiene performed as a lead and supporting actress in widely popular plays including For My Daughter, Border Patrol pt. 1 & 2, Vagina Monologue: ‘The Memory of Her Face’, Sins of the Flesh, Paycheck, and Trouble with the Johnsons. In this realm of theatre, Ruschiene had showcased her remarkable skills as an actor in the regions of Canada, The United States, Grand Cayman, The British Virgin Islands, and St. Maarten. The formidable blend of passion and natural talents had assisted her in mesmerizing the entertainment lovers and had helped her in becoming a reputable brand. Ruschiene had also played the role of the lead actor in several eminent music videos and had worked alongside numerous renowned Dancehall and Reggae artists of this generation such as Wayne Marshall, Alaine, Jahmiel, Alex (T.O.K.), Busy Signal, Dexta Daps, and Sizzla Kalonji. In the film space, she had earned credits from the Edna Manley College of the Visual & Performing Arts in Acting for Screen & TV. She had acquired a great deal of acclamation and recognition for her work as an artist and had earned acknowledgment from San Diego International Film Festival, Probemaster Entertainment, Lignum Vitae Film Festival, and Gatffest Film Festival. December 2019 ended with a bang for Ruschiene, as she sparkled on the cover of The Jollywood Jamaica Magazine exuding graceful finesse and confidence. She aims to work in hit Feature Films & Original Netflix Series and is currently on the lookout for an inspiration to produce a mega full-length film. Ruschiene’s 2020 endeavors include the release of ‘ASGAYA’ (Film Sequel) playing ‘Genesis’ produced by Pop Down Studio (LA, California), other music video & film projects, as well as further advancing her acting career across the oceans. Another notable mention for 2020 is the upcoming release of a collaborative video project with Los Angeles-based actor, Nollis Dewar, for a charity organization La Famila Movements that he founded in 2013.
Ruschiene’s greatest source of inspiration comes from serving humanity and is an avid seeker of knowledge who aims to cultivate, develop, and harness her intrinsic features and characteristics. Besides this, she shares a deep interest in the subjects of metaphysics, philosophies, esoterics, and spiritual doctrines, as well as having a great passion for music. She seeks pleasure in the outdoors and is an adventurous soul who greatly cherishes meditation, traveling, plant-based medicines, and dancing.
