Dushanbe is the most beautiful and biggest city of Tajikistan. The meaning of Dushanbe is “Monday” and the name reflects the fact that the city grew on the site of a village that originally was a popular Monday marketplace.

The city was built during the USSR period. Nowadays it is a modern city with a growing economy and with a lot of buildings with a traditional style. Dushanbe is an ‘always green city’ because of its many parks and flowers. You will definitely feel yourself in the atmosphere of real Tajik life.
