Touching Clouds From The ‘hmong’ Hills-2 Days

Northern Thailand shelters a large number of ethnic minorities… Most of them live in harmony with their environment and according to their ancestral traditions. Some still practice animism and speak their own dialect… It is the case for Hmong people. The Hmong originate from Southern China and migrated to Vietnam, Laos and Thailand at the beginning of the 18th century. The overall population of Hmong people in South-East Asia is estimated at around 4 million individuals. Despite partly dressing in the western way, they still live in a very traditional manner and keep a strong attachment to their particular way of life.   This short program will bring you to a mountain on the outskirts of Chiang Mai, living for and thanks to a royal project (agrarian reforms undertaken by the King of Thailand, in order to replace poppy fields by clean crops, ensure reasonable standards of living for the tribes living on these lands and sustainably manage the nature). You will discover the heart of this community and its natural environment of pure beauty.
